The RT.com website went down for more than three hours on Friday morning in a
worldwide outage after a massive DDoS attack, and is still experiencing some tech difficulties.
The hacker group calling itself AntiLeaks claimed responsibility for the attack.
“Yes. We are behind the DDoS attack on #RT_com,” AntiLeaks wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, AntiLeaks claimed responsibility for targeting WikiLeaks. They called Julian Assange “a new breed of terrorist” and said they launch the attack in response to his attempt to seek asylum in Ecuador.
